Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry is a savory dish featuring tender slices of beef and crisp broccoli coated in a glossy garlic soy sauce. It is a quick and satisfying meal suitable for weeknights or casual dinners.

1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
4 cups fresh broccoli florets
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

  • In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, beef broth, and cornstarch until smooth.

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

  • Add the sliced beef in a single layer and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until just cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  • Add the remaining oil to the pan and stir fry the broccoli for 2 to 3 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.

  • Stir in garlic and ginger and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  • Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the sauce mixture.

  • Cook for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring, until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli.

  • Drizzle with sesame oil, toss briefly, and serve hot.
