Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry is a savory dish featuring tender slices of beef and crisp broccoli coated in a glossy garlic soy sauce. It is a quick and satisfying meal suitable for weeknights or casual dinners.
1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
4 cups fresh broccoli florets
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon sesame oil
In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, beef broth, and cornstarch until smooth.
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add the sliced beef in a single layer and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until just cooked through. Remove and set aside.
Add the remaining oil to the pan and stir fry the broccoli for 2 to 3 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
Stir in garlic and ginger and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the sauce mixture.
Cook for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring, until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli.
Drizzle with sesame oil, toss briefly, and serve hot.
