Brown Sugar Glazed Meatloaf is a classic comfort dish featuring tender seasoned ground beef topped with a sweet and tangy brown sugar glaze that caramelizes beautifully in the oven.

2 pounds ground beef 80/20
1 cup plain breadcrumbs
2 large eggs
1/2 cup whole milk
1 small onion finely diced
3 garlic cloves minced
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme optional
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a loaf pan or line a baking sheet.

  • Combine breadcrumbs and milk in a large bowl and let sit 5 minutes.

  • Add ground beef eggs onion garlic Worcestershire sauce salt pepper and thyme. Mix gently until combined.

  • Shape mixture into a loaf and place in pan or on baking sheet.

  • Mix brown sugar ketchup and vinegar until smooth.

  • Spread half of the glaze over the meatloaf.

  • Bake for 45 minutes then spread remaining glaze on top.

  • Continue baking 15 to 25 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F.

  • Rest 10 minutes before slicing.
