A creamy, cheesy one-skillet pasta made with beef, tomato, and tender cheese tortellini. Quick, hearty, and full of comfort.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp tomato paste

  • 1½ cups crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • 1½ tsp Italian seasoning

  • ½ cup heavy cream

  • 20 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan

  • Fresh parsley or basil (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a large skillet. Sauté onion for 4–5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

  • Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.

  • Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1–2 minutes. Add crushed tomatoes, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Simmer 3–4 minutes.

  • Stir in tortellini and heavy cream. Cover and simmer on low for 5–7 minutes until tortellini is tender.

  • Stir in mozzarella until melted. Sprinkle with Parmesan.

  • Garnish with fresh herbs and serve hot.

Notes

  • Add spinach or zucchini for more vegetables.

  • Swap beef for turkey or sausage if preferred.

  • Broil cheese on top for a bubbly, browned finish.
