A hearty one-skillet meal featuring seasoned beef, crispy fries, and melted cheddar cheese—topped with classic burger fixings for a flavorful twist on a cheeseburger dinner.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20)
1/2 yellow onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp yellow mustard
16 oz frozen French fries
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 cup sliced dill pickles (optional)
Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomato, crumbled bacon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F.

  • In a large, oven-safe skillet, brown ground beef over medium-high heat, about 6–8 minutes. Drain grease.

  • Add onion and cook for 3 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

  • Mix in ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.

  • Spread frozen fries evenly over the beef—do not stir.

  • Bake for 20–25 minutes or until fries are crispy.

  • Sprinkle cheese on top and return to oven for 5–7 minutes until melted.

  • Let cool slightly, then garnish with pickles or other toppings. Serve warm.
