A creamy, cheesy chicken dish inspired by jalapeño poppers. This bake layers spicy jalapeños, melted cheddar, tangy cream cheese, and smoky bacon over juicy baked chicken for a comforting, flavor-packed meal.
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar, divided
2 fresh jalapeños, finely chopped and seeded
6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 green onions, chopped
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Season chicken on both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Place in dish.
Mix cream cheese, sour cream, 1/2 cup cheddar, jalapeños, and half the bacon in a bowl.
Spread mixture evenly over the chicken.
Top with remaining cheddar and bacon.
Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
Uncover and bake another 15–20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and chicken is done.
Let rest 5 minutes. Garnish with green onions before serving.
