A creamy, cheesy chicken dish inspired by jalapeño poppers. This bake layers spicy jalapeños, melted cheddar, tangy cream cheese, and smoky bacon over juicy baked chicken for a comforting, flavor-packed meal.

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar, divided
2 fresh jalapeños, finely chopped and seeded
6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • Season chicken on both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Place in dish.

  • Mix cream cheese, sour cream, 1/2 cup cheddar, jalapeños, and half the bacon in a bowl.

  • Spread mixture evenly over the chicken.

  • Top with remaining cheddar and bacon.

  • Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.

  • Uncover and bake another 15–20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and chicken is done.

  • Let rest 5 minutes. Garnish with green onions before serving.
