Crispy Philly Cheesesteak Grilled Wraps combine tender sliced beef, sautéed onions and peppers, and melted cheese inside a golden grilled tortilla. The outside becomes crisp while the inside remains juicy and savory, creating a handheld meal inspired by the classic Philadelphia cheesesteak.
1 pound thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin steak
1 tablespoon cooking oil
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
6 slices provolone or American cheese
4 large flour tortillas
1 tablespoon butter for grilling
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
Cook sliced onions and bell peppers until soft and lightly golden. Remove from skillet.
Add thinly sliced beef to the hot skillet and season with salt and black pepper.
Cook the beef for about 3 to 4 minutes while breaking it into smaller pieces.
Return the cooked vegetables to the skillet and mix with the beef.
Place cheese slices over the mixture and allow them to melt.
Warm tortillas briefly so they become flexible.
Spoon the cheesesteak filling across the center of each tortilla.
Fold the sides inward and roll tightly into wrap shapes.
Heat butter in a skillet and grill the wraps seam side down until golden and crisp on each side.
Slice diagonally and serve warm.
