Grilled steak and shrimp skewers finished with warm garlic butter sauce and fresh herbs.
1 pound sirloin steak, cubed
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
12 skewers
Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes if using wooden skewers.
Cut steak into even cubes and pat shrimp dry.
Season steak with olive oil, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Season shrimp lightly with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Thread steak and shrimp onto skewers.
Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
Grill skewers 8–10 minutes, turning frequently.
Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
Add garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
Stir in lemon juice and red pepper flakes.
Brush garlic butter over grilled skewers.
Sprinkle parsley and serve.
Use large shrimp so cooking time stays close to the steak. Avoid overcooking shrimp to keep them tender.
