A quick, satisfying stir-fry featuring tender beef, crisp broccoli, and a rich, savory sauce. Ready in 30 minutes and perfect for busy nights or meal prep.

Ingredients

1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
3 cups broccoli florets
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
2 tbsp neutral oil (canola or avocado)
1 tbsp soy sauce (for marinating)
1 tsp cornstarch (for marinating)
1 tsp sesame oil (divided)

Sauce:
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/2 cup water
1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  • Combine beef, soy sauce, cornstarch, and a little sesame oil. Let sit for 10–15 minutes.

  • Blanch broccoli for 1 minute in boiling water. Drain and rinse with cold water.

  • Mix sauce ingredients in a bowl until smooth.

  • Heat oil in a skillet or wok. Sear beef in batches until browned. Remove and set aside.

  • In the same pan, sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.

  • Return beef and broccoli to the pan. Pour in sauce and stir-fry until thickened.

  • Drizzle with remaining sesame oil and serve hot.
