A quick, satisfying stir-fry featuring tender beef, crisp broccoli, and a rich, savory sauce. Ready in 30 minutes and perfect for busy nights or meal prep.
1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
3 cups broccoli florets
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
2 tbsp neutral oil (canola or avocado)
1 tbsp soy sauce (for marinating)
1 tsp cornstarch (for marinating)
1 tsp sesame oil (divided)
Sauce:
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/2 cup water
1 tsp sesame oil
Combine beef, soy sauce, cornstarch, and a little sesame oil. Let sit for 10–15 minutes.
Blanch broccoli for 1 minute in boiling water. Drain and rinse with cold water.
Mix sauce ingredients in a bowl until smooth.
Heat oil in a skillet or wok. Sear beef in batches until browned. Remove and set aside.
In the same pan, sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
Return beef and broccoli to the pan. Pour in sauce and stir-fry until thickened.
Drizzle with remaining sesame oil and serve hot.
