A golden grilled sandwich filled with creamy goat cheese and sweet honey.
4 slices rustic bread
2 tablespoons butter
4 ounces goat cheese
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh thyme leaves
Optional thin apple or pear slices
Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
Spread goat cheese on the inner sides of two slices.
Drizzle honey evenly over the cheese.
Add optional herbs, fruit, or Parmesan.
Top with remaining bread slices with buttered sides outward.
Heat a skillet over medium heat.
Cook sandwiches 3–4 minutes per side until golden.
Remove from pan and rest briefly.
Slice and drizzle additional honey if desired.
Use thick bread slices so the sandwich holds its shape during cooking.
