Ingredients

4 slices rustic bread
2 tablespoons butter
4 ounces goat cheese
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh thyme leaves
Optional thin apple or pear slices

Instructions

  • Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.

  • Spread goat cheese on the inner sides of two slices.

  • Drizzle honey evenly over the cheese.

  • Add optional herbs, fruit, or Parmesan.

  • Top with remaining bread slices with buttered sides outward.

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat.

  • Cook sandwiches 3–4 minutes per side until golden.

  • Remove from pan and rest briefly.

  • Slice and drizzle additional honey if desired.
