2 pounds beef stew meat or chuck roast cut into bite-size cubes
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup beef broth
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Brown beef cubes briefly on each side.

  • Transfer browned beef into slow cooker.

  • Sprinkle salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning over beef.

  • Add minced garlic across the meat.

  • Place sliced butter on top.

  • Pour beef broth and Worcestershire sauce into the slow cooker.

  • Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.

  • Stir once during cooking so sauce coats the beef evenly.

  • Sprinkle chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Chuck roast usually produces very tender results during slow cooking.
