Honey Garlic Chicken Skewers feature tender grilled chicken coated in a sticky honey garlic glaze. The skewers deliver a balance of sweet caramelization and savory garlic flavor, perfect for casual dinners or outdoor grilling.

pounds boneless chicken thighs or chicken breast, cut into cubes
⅓ cup honey
3 tablespoons soy sauce
3 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon rice vinegar or lemon juice
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (optional)
½ teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons sliced green onions for garnish
1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  • In a bowl whisk honey, soy sauce, garlic, olive oil, rice vinegar, ginger, and black pepper.

  • Place cubed chicken in a large bowl and coat with two-thirds of the marinade.

  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  • Soak wooden skewers in water for 20 minutes if using wooden skewers.

  • Thread marinated chicken onto skewers with small gaps between pieces.

  • Preheat grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.

  • Grill skewers for 4 to 5 minutes per side.

  • Brush reserved marinade over chicken while grilling.

  • Continue turning until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

  • Remove from grill and rest for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.

  • Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
