Tender turkey meatballs simmered in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce. Naturally gluten-free and quick to make, these are perfect for weeknight meals or meal prepping.
1 lb ground turkey (93% lean)
1 egg
1/3 cup gluten-free breadcrumbs
2 green onions, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp tamari or soy sauce
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp olive or avocado oil
For the Sauce:
1/3 cup honey
3 tbsp tamari or soy sauce
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp cornstarch
2 tbsp water
Combine turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, green onions, garlic, tamari, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
Roll into 18–20 meatballs.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown meatballs on all sides for 6–8 minutes.
Whisk together all sauce ingredients until smooth.
Add sauce to skillet, reduce heat, and simmer covered for 7–8 minutes until sauce thickens and meatballs are cooked through.
Serve warm with garnishes of your choice.
