Tender turkey meatballs simmered in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce. Naturally gluten-free and quick to make, these are perfect for weeknight meals or meal prepping.

Ingredients

1 lb ground turkey (93% lean)
1 egg
1/3 cup gluten-free breadcrumbs
2 green onions, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp tamari or soy sauce
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp olive or avocado oil

For the Sauce:
1/3 cup honey
3 tbsp tamari or soy sauce
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp cornstarch
2 tbsp water

Instructions

  • Combine turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, green onions, garlic, tamari, salt, and pepper in a bowl.

  • Roll into 18–20 meatballs.

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown meatballs on all sides for 6–8 minutes.

  • Whisk together all sauce ingredients until smooth.

  • Add sauce to skillet, reduce heat, and simmer covered for 7–8 minutes until sauce thickens and meatballs are cooked through.

  • Serve warm with garnishes of your choice.
