Ingredients

Scale
  • 9 lasagna noodles (or oven-ready)

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and chopped

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce

  • 1/4 cup ketchup

  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1 cup ricotta or cream cheese

  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • Optional: chopped pickles

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Boil noodles if not using oven-ready.

  • In a skillet, cook bacon until crisp. Remove, chop, and reserve.

  • Brown ground beef with onion. Drain fat. Add garlic, ketchup, mustard, tomato sauce, paprika, half the bacon. Simmer 5 mins.

  • Mix ricotta, parmesan, mozzarella, egg, garlic, and Italian seasoning in a bowl.

  • Layer noodles, meat, cheese mix, and cheddar in a 9×13 baking dish. Repeat layers.

  • Finish with noodles, cheese mix, mozzarella, cheddar, and remaining bacon.

  • Cover and bake 30 mins. Uncover and bake another 10–15 mins until bubbly.

  • Rest 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Add pickles for a bold cheeseburger touch.

  • Use BBQ sauce instead of ketchup for a smoky flavor.

  • Can be made ahead or frozen before baking.
