Million Dollar Meatloaf features seasoned ground beef wrapped around a creamy cheese filling and topped with a sweet and tangy glaze.
2 pounds ground beef 80 percent lean
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup milk
2 large eggs
1 small onion finely grated
3 cloves garlic minced
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
8 ounces cream cheese softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
3/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet.
Mix breadcrumbs and milk and let sit 5 minutes.
Add ground beef, eggs, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
Stir cream cheese, cheddar, and mayonnaise until smooth.
Shape half the meat mixture into a rectangle and spread cheese mixture in the center.
Top with remaining meat and seal edges to form a loaf.
Mix ketchup, brown sugar, and vinegar and spread half on top.
Bake 40 minutes, add remaining glaze, and bake 20 to 25 minutes more until 160°F internally.
Rest 10 to 15 minutes before slicing.
