8 oz spaghetti or other pasta
6–8 garlic cloves, sliced or minced
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
2½ cups low-sodium broth (chicken or vegetable)
1 cup heavy cream
¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan
Salt and black pepper to taste
Red pepper flakes (optional)
Fresh parsley or basil for garnish
Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until soft and fragrant.
Stir in broth and cream; bring to a light simmer.
Add dry pasta and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring often.
