Classic buttery shortbread cookies filled with pecans and a tender, crumbly texture.

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup finely chopped pecans

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet.
  • Cream butter and sugar until smooth.
  • Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  • Combine flour and salt, then mix into dough.
  • Fold in chopped pecans.
  • Roll into balls and flatten slightly.
