This Tater Tot Casserole combines seasoned ground beef, creamy mushroom sauce, mixed vegetables, melty cheese, and crispy tater tots for a comforting, family-friendly dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup

  • 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables

  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 (28 oz) bag frozen tater tots

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain fat.

  • Stir in garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook 1 minute more.

  • Mix in soup and frozen vegetables. Spread mixture evenly in the prepared dish.

  • Sprinkle cheese evenly over the beef mixture.

  • Top with a single layer of tater tots.

  • Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, or until tots are golden and casserole is bubbling.

  • Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, broil during the last 3–5 minutes.
